On Wednesday March 15, as part of our Art Education curriculum, seniors students from grades 7, 8 and 9 visited the ACX Art Center Xinghai in downtown Dalian. This year, in all three grades, students have been working on understanding and manipulating elements of art and principles of design to create mood and convey ideas in art. Our visit to ACX
helped them to make connections between these concepts and how they can be applied to make amazing works of art. Students were able to examine and respond to works from artists in China, as well as from Japan, Italy and other countries.
We would like to thank the ACX Art Center Xinghai for hosting us and giving us an incredibly detailed tour of the pieces inside, and we hope to return again!
