Maple Leaf FNS

An ‘Amazing Race’ Around Wuhan

Students in Maple Leaf Foreign Nationals’ Schools have the chance to learn about Chinese traditions and cultures while enrolled at the school, as part of their Chinese Language and Culture Classes. Students learn Mandarin in preparation for the YCT and HSK international exams held annually.

This term, our Grade 7-9 students were presented with an “Amazing” opportunity to travel around the city of Wuhan, exploring important cultural and historical landmarks. They did this in small student-led groups, after planning and coordinating their route and method of transportation. Students had the chance to practice their core competency skills of communication, critical thinking and personal responsibility.

Maple Leaf Foreign Nationals’ School – Wuhan (MLFNS-Wuhan) enrolls international students in Pre-Kindergarten (age 4) through Grade 9.
